Smokey Joes Cafe

 CEHS Musical: Smokey Joes Café

Hi everyone! Remember the performing arts assembly we had a couple weeks ago? Want to see more? Fifty six dedicated students have been working hard to perfect Clovis East’s newest musical, Smokey Joes Café. The musical is composed of 27 singing and dancing routines, all of which show a story of the 50s time period that the musical is set to take place in.

Everyone has been practicing since well in October. Mrs. Karsevar, the school’s dance teacher, has worked diligently to choreograph all of the songs and dances. Through hard work and lots of practice, the musical is now ready to take the stage!

Smokey Joes Café is showing March 21st through March 24th and March 28th through March 31st. The show is at the Dan Pessano Theater at Clovis North High School. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, and $12 for adults. The musical presents a grand total of nine shows, one night show each day plus a matinee on March 31st, closing day. The doors will open at 7:00 pm and start at 7:30 pm for each night show. The matinee will begin at 2:00pm. There are many shows, so make sure you come and see one! Tickets can be purchased from Mr. Stump in the drama room, or online at http://www.cusd.com/tickets/

Remember everyone, as Mr. Stump says, "We don't put on good high school plays, we put on good plays!" Don't miss out on Smokey Joes, which will open next week!
