As an 8th grader, coming to a big, new school with such a variety of ages, social groups, and teachers; it’s got to be an exhilarating experience. Seniors, as you look back, you can remember this feeling and relate to the incoming freshman.
            When you’re an 8th grader, signing up for your classes, what do you think of? Is it the new classes that are offered? The amazing teachers your older brother or sister had? Which class will you learn the most out of? Whatever it is, 8th graders are heading to Clovis East, and they are bound to be excited!
            Adjusting into high school can be difficult, but eventually you get the flow of things. Coming into the new school with older kids, and new teachers is tricky and can be stressful, but the new seniors of 2012 will help you find your way around this big campus.
            Becoming a freshman with some of your old friends can be fun or intimidating; everyone has a different experience. Help make your experience amazing by putting yourself out there, join a new sport you never tried, or even just introduce yourself to the person next to you in class. Remember, freshman year is a small step into creating who you are, make yourself someone you are proud to be.
