Success at History Day

Last Saturday, March 17th, the Clovis East History Day team competed at the 29th annual Fresno County History Day competition. Following this year’s theme: Revolution, Reform, and Reaction, the team competed in the Group Performance category in the Sr. division; their performance, entitled The Demise of Discrimination, That Ignited the Nation, Brown vs. Board of Education, focused on the court case, Brown vs. Board of Education Topeka and how it contributed to the growth of the Civil Rights Movement.

After a phenomenal performance on Saturday, the Clovis East History Team awaited the results. After much anticipation, Stephanie Agnes-Crockett, Jameelah Najeeb, Valerie Loera, Shaylee Caskarden, and Christopher Kennedy qualified for the state competition. Good luck to our History Day team as they now prepare for the California History Day competition on April 25-27th.
