Hello, AP students! As you all know, AP testing has begun and will be in full swing for the next two weeks. Just in case any of us have forgotten, here are a few standard test-taking tips and strategies everyone should practice.
First and foremost, make sure that you are well rested before any and all of your exams. Some students believe that they should cram the night before a test; however, remember that your brain and body need sleep in order to function well. Next, make sure to eat a nutritious breakfast on the morning of your test. If you would like to ensure that your mind is fully engaged, try to review basic concepts or information before the testing session begins. Finally, make sure to manage your time. Consider the suggestion that students should scan through their tests quickly, answering the “easy questions” first and returning to answer the more difficult ones.
These suggestions may seem jaded, seeing as we’ve all heard them for several years now; still, they’re fairly simple to practice, and they go a long way. After all, why wouldn’t you want to give yourselves the best possible opportunities for success on your AP exams? Good luck, T-Wolves!
