Clovis East Football Opens Up TRAC Play
The 2011 football season is up and running. Clovis East has had some tough losses resulting in a record of 1-5. Opponents Clovis East has faced, currently have an overall record of 33-5. Clovis East has opened up league play against Clovis High with a 35-0 loss. Head Coach Tim Murphy stated, “Clovis High will be the toughest opponent in TRAC. They are currently ranked #1 in league.” They are scheduled to go on to the road for two straight weeks to play against two good teams in Clovis North and Clovis West. They later host Buchanan for their last home game of the season. To end the season, they travel to Koligian Stadium to play against Central. These league games are very important to Clovis East as they hope to earn a high seed for playoffs. Despite a tough schedule, there are high expectations for this year’s team. Tim Murphy also added, “Despite having a rough start, league play is a new season. We expect to win league every year.” Make sure to come out and support your Timberwolves as they open up league play.
