Library on the Go!
Need a book but don’t want to miss lunch? No worries. This Thursday, Oct. 20th, is the first Library Mobile Book Cart visit of the year, with books for your viewing pleasure. The Library Mobile Book Cart was started by the librarians Mrs. Nielson and Mrs. Mammon; “We thought we’d take the library to the students who don’t regularly visit,” explained Mrs. Nielson, “It raises awareness for a lot of kids, and for some it inspires regular trips to the library.” The Library Mobile Book Cart is important because it “reminds people that we have a library and it is for more than just textbooks,” commented Mrs. Nielson. Mrs. Nielson also enjoys it because “It allows me to get out and get in touch with the students outside of the library. I have connected with many students through just the Library Mobile Book Cart and helped get them interested in the Library.”
Right now the Library Mobile Book Cart occurs about once every semester; however, “We would like to do it more often,” stated Mrs. Nielson. Don’t miss the Library Mobile Book Cart coming this Thursday (it won’t return until March), and if you enjoy it you can go to the library for even more.
