Let’s Give Thanks

A long time ago, Puritans and Pilgrims set off to the New World in search of civil liberties, greater equalities, and personal industrious endeavors. They established a prosperous colony built on trade with the Native Americans, and it began to attract more settlers; this further increased the profits as well as economic and social productivity. It was during this time period of peace and plenty that the first Thanksgiving was held. It was a large feast which brought all the colonists and Native Americans together in a gracious environment. It has since evolved into a national and international holiday during which time families gather together to give thanks for all the good things that they have and all the fortunate opportunities that have been provided. Thanksgiving is celebrated to recognize those who have helped us at one point or another. So this Thanksgiving take a moment to remember the people who have helped you when you needed it and give thanks.
