Update on Album Releases
Kelly Clarkson, Stronger
Released 10/24/11
The first American Idol winner is still in it. Kelly was on American Idol the very first season hoping to make her dreams come true as a famous musician, and she won. Some American Idol winners have fallen, but Kelly Clarkson and Carey Underwood are the two winners that I truly believe will always be in spotlight. Her songs in this album have already hit commercials! She sings a pop punk style of music with slow lyrics.
Angels and Airwaves, Love part 2
Released 11/8/11
The breakup of Blink 182 led to the members going separate ways. The lead singer, Tom Delonge, found his way to a band called Angels and Airwaves. Before the band opened Tom promised a band with a mixture of U2 and Pink Floyd with lyrics like The Cure. This new style of music was a great idea but many fans thought of the first two albums as bummers, but then their album Love came out. A mix of techno and punk. Check it out!
Kid Cudi, Rap Hard
Released 11/14/11
Rap has hit the music industry hard, and there’s no way that I could finish this without including some. Kid Cudi is like the new kid on the block in this massive market of rap. Sure he can show he’s got skill and style, but can he keep it up? This new album is a message saying "Here’s an update on me, and tell me if I’m in or not." He could be famous like Tupac, or he flatten like Sean Paul. Rap is a type of music where all it takes is one bad album and your done. Let’s give the kid a chance.
